2004 - Fell 1r four times and in Tour qualifying nine times (incl. Australian Open, Wimbledon); won one doubles title on ITF Circuit.

2005 - Won first Tour singles title at Guangzhou (won title when Llagostera Vives ret. in final w/left hamstring injury); third Chinese at the time to win a Tour singles title (preceded by Li, Zheng; since joined by Sun); reached 2r three times; fell 1r once and in Tour qualifying four times (incl. US Open); won two Tour doubles titles; won two doubles titles on ITF Circuit.

2006 - Won six Tour doubles titles w/Zheng, incl. China's first majors at Australian Open (d. Raymond/Stosur 26 76(7) 63 in final; saved 3mp in tie-break) and Wimbledon (d. Ruano Pascual/Suárez in final); first Chinese ever to qualify for Tour Championships (l. first match); made doubles Top 10 debut on May 15 (rose from No.15 to No.10) and Top 5 debut on July 10 (after Wimbledon; rose from No.7 to No.4, where she'd stay rest of season); in singles, SF at Rabat (l. to Shaughnessy); reached 2r three times (incl.
